Foreign doctors welcome to help in the fight vs COVID-19
MANILA – Cabinet Secretary and Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infections Disease Karlo Alexei Nograles said foreign doctors willing to help the Philippines in its fight against COVID-19 will always be welcome.
Ina press briefing this afternoon, Secretary Nograles was informed China sent its doctors to help Italy among other countries in its fight against the pandemic.
“We obviously welcome any help from other nations, especially those successful in battling COVID-19,” he said.
He explained this is the very reason the government has remained firm in the foreign policy espoused by President Rodrigo Duterte that is “Friends to All, Enemies to None.”
He added he hopes the Philippines can count “our friends in this hour of need.” (Melo M. Acuña)
