President Duterte opts to be vaccinated in public
MANILA – Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque today said President Rodrigo Duterte has decided to get vaccinated for COVID-19 in full view of the public.
At the midday press briefing, Secretary Roque said the chief executive will be inoculated publicly after initially saying he will have the jab in private.
“I think the President has said that he will now have himself vaccinated publicly. He only has to announce when it will be done,” Secretary Roque said.
He added Duterte agreed to be vaccinated in public if there’s a “public clamor” for him to do so.
Secretary Roque confirmed President Duterte will speak tonight on national television. (Melo M. Acuña)
