Asian Development Bank’s 2020 Annual Meeting to be rescheculed
MANILA – This year’s Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank’s Board of Directors originally scheduled for May 2-5 in Incheon, Republic of Korea has been rescheduled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions.
A meeting will be held on May 22,2020 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila and will be attended by Governors through their designated representatives in Manila.
A full-scale Annual Meeting will be held from September 18-21 in Incheon, Republic of Korea which will be open to participants.
Previously approved registration issued prior May 20,2020 are no longer valid. New invitations and registration details to participants for the Annual Meeting in Incheon will be sent in the near future.
In a statement, the ADB said they and the Republic of Korea prioritizes the safety of the participants. They vowed to continue to monitor developments on COVID-19 and provide regular updates on any possible changes.
The previous annual meetings had thousands of participants from member countries, financial institutions, the private sector and the media. (Melo M. Acuña)
